- near Westport This beautiful and spacious lakehouse, filled with windows and light, is designed for comfortable family living. The main floor is open-concept, with dining and living rooms, den and master bedroom all facing beautiful Farren Lake. Adjacent to the state-of-the-art kitchen is a deck with barbeque, lawn furniture and hummingbirds who visit very regularly. Beside the deck is an eat-in sun-screened porch, which also has comfortable chairs and a sofa to relax (or fall asleep on!). The basement of the lakehouse is a walk-out, and has two bedrooms and a full bath.The lot to the left of the lakehouse is vacant and to the right, through a deep swathe of trees is another family cottage. The waterfront has a deck, an L-shaped dock and gradual rock bottom entry from the shoreline. Swimming is excellent - the water is pristine; weeds are rare or non-existent. A double hammock hangs waiting nearby … There is also a small basic trailer (no facilities) on the property which can sleep 2-3 kids or teens. Be prepared to be observed by one or sometimes two loon families who watch all that’s happening onshore – they themselves are easily visible pretty well every day throughout the summer.
